Librarian and Researcher Judy Hynson to Retire from Stratford Hall After 50 Years
(October 26, 2022) – Stratford Hall announced today that, after 50 years of dedicated service to Stratford Hall, long-time employee Judy Hynson will retire at the end of 2022.
Stratford Hall Announces Dr. Gordon Blaine Steffey as new Director of Research and the Jessie Ball duPont Memorial Library
(October 26, 2022) – Stratford Hall announced today that Dr. Gordon Blaine Steffey will join the historic site on November 1, 2022 as its new Director of Research and the Jessie Ball duPont Memorial Library. Dr. Steffey succeeds Judy Hynson, who retires from fulltime employment after an incredible 50 years of service to Stratford Hall.
Stratford Hall Announces Karen L. Daly as New President
(October 21, 2020) –The Board of Directors of Stratford Hall announced today that after a nationwide search, Karen L. Daly, executive director of Dumbarton House, will succeed John Bacon as president of the 18th-century historic home and property of the Lee family of Virginia.
(July 31, 2020) Stratford Hall announces the difficult decision to cancel its annual Wine & Oyster Festival, scheduled for September 19 & 20, 2020, due to the ongoing pandemic. Based on current public health information and state and local guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the two-day festival cannot move forward as planned.
Stratford Hall Awarded $21,000 in Grants to Support New Exhibit, Storytelling and Colonial Foodways Programs and Conservation Efforts
