Lodging at Stratford Hall

Nestled in the woods between the Great House and the Potomac River, Stratford Hall’s rustic and comfortable lodging provides a unique opportunity to stay on the property of one of the great historic houses in America. 

Astor Guest House 

The Astor Guest House was named after Lady Astor who served as Stratford Hall’s first director from Great Britain. Perfect for families, friends or a group traveling together, Astor has three rooms with three king-sized beds and three with twin beds with private baths. Giving a sense of home, guests enjoy the convenience of the quaint kitchen, comfortable living room or the tranquility of the woodland deck when not exploring Stratford Hall. 

Cheek Guest House

Each of the fifteen Guest Rooms in Cheek offers either a king or two twin-sized beds with a private bath. The Great Room offers a spacious area for conversation, a cup of coffee, an afternoon card game, or the perfect spot to unwind. The guest house features a large, wraparound deck set among the treetops for enjoying the serene environment and the sights and sounds of the historic property. Handicapped accessible room available. 

Winter Astor and Cheek Guest House Rates : $110 per night (through February 23rd).

Lodging guests will enjoy special rates for the Great House and grounds: Adults (ages 14+) are $5 and children $4, and 10% off at the Stratford Hall Gift Shop. During your getaway, explore the local breweries, wineries, restaurants, and antique shops.

February 23 – March 31: $139 per night

Beginning April 1st, our season rates will be $149 for Astor & Cheek Guest Houses.

Log Cabins: Cabins are currently closed for the winter and will reopen April 1st.

Our cozy log cabins offer the ultimate retreat in a serene and secluded setting. Appointed with comfortable furnishings and modern amenities, these cabins evokthe feeling of the past meeting the present.  Each cabin has an outside seating area to enjoy the landscape and natural beauty of the Northern Neck.
