Our engaging self-guided audio tours bring the social and cultural history of Stratford Hall to life.
Experience the Great House and historic grounds, the stories of Stratford Hall’s former inhabitants, and the social and cultural history of the landscape and surrounding buildings. Visit any of the 28 stops you’re interested in at your own pace and in any order.
Audio Tours
Audio Tour tickets can be used anytime between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the date of purchase. If purchasing an Audio Tour ticket, a Grounds Pass is not necessary.

Grounds Pass
A Grounds Pass gives you access to the hiking trails, public beach area, gardens, public grounds, and Visitor Center. The pass does not include admission to the Great House and other historic buildings. Grounds passes can be used anytime between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the date of purchase.

- Children (6 to 13): $5.00
- Children 5 and under: Free
Museum Admission Discount Programs
Through December 31, 2026, Virginia 250 Passport holders can receive their one-time 15% admission discount and stamp at Stratford Hall! Passports are available free of charge and first-come, first-served at five Signature Passport Sites (Virginia Museum of History & Culture, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Monticello, and Mount Vernon); the VA250 Mobile Museum and select VA250 events; and Virginia Tourism Corporation’s 12 Welcome Centers across the Commonwealth. As a Blue Star Museum, beginning on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026 and ending on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026, we offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and up to five members of their family, including National Guard and Reserve. Stratford Hall participates in the Museums for All initiative which offers free museum admission for those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits). Please present your EBT card at the Visitor Center to receive free admission for up to five family members. Children ages 5 and below are always free of charge.
