Stratford Hall announces a new self-guided audio tour!
Stratford Hall is very excited to launch an additional audio tour experience: “Leading Ladies” available beginning November 1! Walk the Great House and outbuildings through the lens of several generations of Lee women who lived at Stratford. First-person narration, ambient sounds, and rich details of daily life.
Anne McCarty Lee (1798–1840) welcomes you as the narrator of the Leading Ladies audio tour. Anne Lee was the last Lee woman to live at Stratford Hall and was married to Henry Lee IV.
Audio tour produced in partnership with Sandpail Productions.
Great House Self-Guided Audio Tour
This tour uses a combination of narrator and first-person voices, and introduces you to the history of the Lees and others who lived and labored at Stratford Hall. Stop-by-stop, room-by-room, visitors will get first-hand insight into what happened in each location, who they would have seen, and how it all connects. The tour includes music, background noises, and actors portraying some of the characters who lived at Stratford Hall. Tours are self-guided, self-paced, and available during normal business hours. Length of tour is 75 minutes spread over 28 stops. Visitors can choose where and what they want to see and hear as they walk through the historic grounds and house.
Audio tour produced by Sandpail Productions.
Stratford Hall is now offering a new American Sign Language tour, produced by Fornal Labs and translated by Purple Communications, displayed on a touch-screen device that showcases Stratford Hall’s audio tour content in ASL and with subtitles, and a map to guide the visitors to all of the 28 stops.
