SUMMARY:Teachers Seminar: Revolutionary Stuff
DESCRIPTION:Stratford Hall and Preservation Virginia are delighted to announce their 2025 Teachers Seminar\, Revolutionary Stuff\, a multi-day continuing education event for teachers of history and related disciplines. Hosted at Stratford Hall from July 10-July 13\, 2025\, Revolutionary Stuff studies the ordinary and extraordinary objects that were both nodes of access to 18th-century revolutionary politics and ideals and sites of contest over those ideals. Even as objects and ideas about them structured identity and resistance\, they also shaped hierarchies and social orders of a new nation and national culture. Join us to learn how the stuff of everyday lives empowered and limited continuity and change. Onsite presentations at Stratford Hall from scholars and experts and travel-study to nearby Washington\, D.C. will be capped by a workshop focused on translating our insights for the K through 12 classroom. \nApplications are closed.  \nPlease contact Dr. Gordon Blaine Steffey with questions.
