September 25 & 26 The 4th annual Chesapeake Bay Wine & Harvest Festival will be fun for the whole family. Wine tasting at its best, plus specialty foods, petting zoo, arts and crafts, and live music.
October 2 "From Harry the Fiddler to Covent Garden": Music of the Stratford Lees. Program about the music the Lees could have heard in America and across the Atlantic. Concludes with dinner and musical evening in the Great Hall.
October 9 Psychic Time Travel:
History Through the Eyes of Investigative Medium Laine Crosby. Learn about the life and times of the spirits of Stratford Hall who find this beautiful estate so difficult to leave.
October 22-24 The third Northern Neck Cultural Landscape Symposium, "The Designed Landscape," will study the region's formal landscapes of the colonial and early national periods.
October 30 Historical Haunts event will offer special "ghost tours" of the Great House, Halloween crafts and refreshments. For children and adults of all ages. Admission $5 adult/$3 children.
November 25 Thanksgiving Dinner at Stratford Hall Join us for a traditional southern feast. This event is a sell-out every year, so make your reservations early! Dinner and lodging are available by reservation only.
December 7 Colonial Decoration Workshop Well-known garden authority and floral designer Don Haynie will lead two tree-making workshops at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Materials will be provided. Class size is limited to 15, so sign up early!
December 11 Christmas at Stratford Hall. Experience the Lees' Great House as they might have known it during the holiday season, including live music and dance of the 18th century. Dinner and lodging are limited so make your reservations early.

January 15Family Winter Walk. Join local naturalists and educators as they explore the woods, fields and pond to look for birds and other wildlife. Bring your camera, sketch book, and curiosity.
January 28-30Robert E. Lee Symposium. Join noted historians Pete Carmichael and Gary Gallagher and spend 3 days learning about the pivotal Battle of Chancellorsville. Visit the battlefield where the South lost one of its greatest strategists..."Stonewall" Jackson.
February 25The History of the Spirituals: An Evening with Calvin Earl. Calvin Earl, nationally recognized educator and musician, will share his thoughts on the African American Spiritual as a National Treasure. Earl was successful in spurring the U. S. Congress to recognize the genre as a National Treasure in 2007.
March 19 The Women in R. E. Lee's Life. A series of discussions by noted Lee biographer Elizabeth Brown Pryor and historians Matt Penrod and Nora Brooks explores this fascinating and human side to Lee's complex, and sometimes contradictory, life.
April 15-16Environmental Change Conference. RELMA and the University of Mary Washington Center for Chesapeake Bay Studies will hold a 3-day public conference that will bring together scholars, historians and environmental enthusiasts.
April 23Easter Egg Hunt. Sponsored by the N.N. Lodge 32 of the Fraternal Order of Police, this annual event is free for participants and their parents. Begins 11 a.m. sharp on the Oval. No rain date.
May 7-8Coaching Weekend. Held every three years, this year's event will include coaching activities, music, entertainment, vendors and artisans. Tailgating spaces available.
May 21Traditional Trades Fair at Stratford. Join site preservation specialists, members of the Preservation Trades Network, and the Midwest Tool Collectors for a fascinating day of demonstrations and discussions of stone carving, brickwork, carpentry and more.
June 4Lees and IndependenceEnjoy activities for kids, Revolutionary War reenactors, and more at this free event in honor of the two Lee brother signers of the Declaration of Independence and their kinsman "Light Horse Harry" Lee.
July 28-30 Economic Landscapes of the Tidwater:An Institute for Teachers of Va. and U.S. History This three-day residential institute will be led by a distinguished group of scholars and will focus on the interplay of economic, cultural and physical geography.
