STRATFORD, VA, (September 18, 2008) – Groups and organizations from the five counties in the Northern Neck will usher in the fall season at the Northern Neck Food and Harvest Festival being held at Stratford Hall on September 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The day long event will feature wine tasting by six wineries from the Northern Neck Wine Trail, bluegrass music featuring the Mark Newton Band and also the Blades of Bluegrass, plenty of delicious food, over 50 vendors including regional artisans and crafters, hayrides and gristmill tours, demonstrations, as well as plenty of activities for kids including a petting zoo, face painting, scavenger hunt, scat and tracks program, Colonial games and more!
Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Parking is free. Admission for Friends of Stratford is free. Great House Tours and the wine tasting are not included in the festival admission price. Great House tours will be $5 for adults and $3 for children. The admission to the wine tasting tent will be $5 and will include a souvenir glass (must be 21 years of age for admittance).
