STRATFORD, VA, (February 16, 2011) – Stratford Hall will host a Northern Neck Agricultural Summit on Friday, March 11, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Keynote speaker will be Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Matt Lohr. Other speakers will include representatives from Virginia Cooperative Extension, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Virginia Crop Improvement Association, Northern Neck Vegetable Growers, and the Northern Neck Land Conservancy.
The summit is a cooperative effort between Stratford Hall, the Northern Neck Farm Museum, and the Virginia Farm Bureau. The summit will address new farming and product opportunities in the Northern Neck as well as provide updates on areas of concern to the farming community.
