STRATFORD, VA, (November 26, 2010) – Plan to bring your family to our annual Christmastime event on Saturday, December 11, 2010, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Journey back to December 11, 1774 and enjoy the sights, sounds and fragrances of the Christmas season at Stratford Hall.
Enter the Visitor Center and immediately be treated to a unique experience as members of the George Washington’s Young Friends and our staff interpreters greet and guide you to an immersive experience into the late 18th-century.
Your self-guided visit will find Stratford Hall aglow and alive with hospitality, music, dancing and conversation of the 18th-century. Historic foodways expert Michael Twitty will be cooking in the kitchen, members of the Rappahannock Colonial Heritage Society will be dancing in the Hall, and the George Washington Young Friends organization will portray characters from the past.
Following a memorable tour through the Great House and Kitchen, visitors will have the opportunity to sample holiday refreshments and make a seasonal memento in our Visitors Center. This will be a memorable experience and one that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Admission $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children under 12. There is no discount for Friends of Stratford cardholders for this event.
