Stratford After Dark is an enjoyable FAMILY event!
The season is just right for the imagination and history to intersect. This year Stratford Hall will again offer up unusual and shadowy family walking tours. The house and grounds of Stratford will take on a whole new aura at night. Illuminated by the moonlight or flashlight, the Stratford After Dark tour will be an unforgettable experience.
The guided tours will feature the recounting of legends and tales from our ghostly past as well as neighboring haunts. While visitors wait for the tour to start, they can warm themselves at a bonfire, nibble on our famous ginger cookies, sip hot cider, have their fortune read by the famous Seer Sisters, make a unique holiday amulet (just right for keeping the spirits at bay), make children’s Halloween crafts, or visit our Gift Shop.
REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED for the Great House tours. Tours filled up early last year. Tours by the Westmoreland Players begin at 6:00 pm every 20 minutes with the last tour beginning at 9:00 p.m. During these tours, visitors will be entertained by discussing theories of the paranormal and local paranormal accounts. To register for a tour, email Jon Bachman or phone 804-493-1972.
The tours are limited to 15 participants. They will be held at the following times: 6:00; 6:20; 6:40; 7:00; 7:20; 7:40; 8:00; 8:20; 8:40; and 9:00 p.m. (last tour).
When calling for a reservation refer to the schedule above to reserve your preferred tour time.
