2017 Stratford Hall Wine & Oyster Festival

Saturday, 10am to 6pm  •  Sunday, 10am to 5pm

Enjoyfall at Stratford Hall! This popular event features wines from Virginia wineries and oysters from Chesapeake Bay and Tidewater oyster growers. Savor the varied tastes of oysters and a wide variety of seafood options. In addition to the wineries and oyster growers, the festival will offer distinctive arts and crafts, local and international foods, craft distilleries, live music, a car show, barrel train rides, miniature farm animals, historical living-history personages, and FREE admission to the Great House!

Tidewater Oyster Gardeners will be coordinating educational activities and demonstrations to include shucking demonstrations, cooking classes, environmental organizations, and the latest film produced by Emmy award winning documentarian David Miller.

Parking is free and transportation will be provided from the parking lots by Bay Transit and Trolley. The event will be held rain or shine, tickets can be used either day of the festival and tickets are non-refundable.



  • Online ticket sales end on September 14, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Ticket prices at the gate: Wine-Taster Tickets $25, Non-Wine Taster Tickets $15, Child Tickets (Age 7-13) $5, Children Under 6 FREE
  • Please note, Taster Tickets are for wine tasting only. They do not include oysters or beer tasting.
  • Gates open at 10:00 a.m. and close 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017.
  • If you want to spend the weekend at Stratford, call the Inn at Stratford (804-493-1966) for lodging information.
  • This event is held rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable.
  • No coolers allowed inside the festival grounds.
  • No outside food or drink.
  • Tickets purchased can be used on either day of the event; a ticket purchased for Saturday can be used on Sunday, a Sunday ticket can be used on Saturday.
  • No ATM machine available on site.
  • Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times.
